Running has become far more than a sport for me — it’s been a source of inspiration, discipline, and growth. My journey began during COVID, when I set one goal: run a 5K. What started as a way to stay grounded in uncertain times quickly evolved into a passion for distance running, pushing me farther with every mile.
Running has challenged me physically and mentally in ways I never imagined. The early mornings, the quiet miles alone, and the steady rhythm of training have shaped me as much as any race. Each marathon reminds me that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things through persistence and heart. As a single mom, I want to show my son that goals are worth chasing, challenges are worth embracing, and that every finish line is really a beginning.
This year, I am honored to run the 130th Boston Marathon as part of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team. I’ll be raising funds to support groundbreaking cancer research — a cause deeply personal to me. In 2025, my friend’s teenage daughter was diagnosed with Stage 4, Grade 4 cancer. Her strength and resilience fuel my commitment to this race and remind me why this mission matters.
From the dream of completing a 5K to running marathons around the world, every step has taught me something about courage, purpose, and possibility. Running Boston is not just another race; it’s a chance to honor those fighting cancer, to show my son the power of determination, and to continue proving that with passion and purpose.
Every finish line is the start of something greater.
