I’m honored and incredibly grateful to be running the 2026 Boston Marathon with Team Red Cross because this mission is deeply personal to my heart.

Several years ago, I found myself in an unexpected emergency inside the lobby of an office building. A man had collapsed and was carried in from the parking lot. In that terrifying moment, there was no time to wait — only a decision to act. Because I had training, I performed CPR and used a portable AED to help save his life. When first responders arrived and he survived, I was overwhelmed with gratitude and humility. That experience changed me forever.

It showed me how fragile life can be — and how powerful preparation truly is. In moments when fear and uncertainty take over, training gives you purpose, courage, and the ability to help someone survive their worst day.

The American Red Cross makes moments like that possible every single day. Through CPR and first aid training, blood services, disaster relief, and community preparedness, the Red Cross empowers everyday people to step forward when seconds matter most. I’ve seen firsthand the impact of that work, and it stays with me always.

Running Boston with Team Red Cross is my way of honoring that moment, that life, and the countless others impacted by the Red Cross. Every mile I run represents hope, compassion, and the belief that being prepared can change everything.

I’d be deeply grateful for your support as I train and fundraise for this unforgettable race. Together, we can help save lives.
