Mercedes invests $1B in Alabama plant ahead of EV ramp-up

Mercedes-Benz announced that it will invest $1 billion in its Tuscaloosa, Ala., plant, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. The investment will go toward construction of a new battery factory, a Global Logistics Center and retooling the plants assembly line for Mercedes’ upcoming electric SUV.
