Consumer Reports names the best Fourth of July deals on American-made cars

For most, Fourth of July weekend is a good time for fireworks, family reunions and cookouts. But for others, it’s a time to visit a car dealership to search for a deal on a new car.

For shoppers who want to make a patriotic statement with their vehicle purchase, Consumer Reports has released its recommendations for the “Best Deals on American-Made cars for July 4th.’’ The list focuses on vehicles assembled in the U.S.

CR looked at new-car incentives and discounts that offer consumers significant savings. The discounts offered range from as little as $461 to as much as $5,310 off a vehicle’s sticker price.

All models below, with one exception, are 2016 model year vehicles. Please note all incentives listed expire on July 5, 2016.
