The 10 best SUVs under $25,000
Kelley Blue Book has a guide for car-shoppers looking for a vehicle that provides plenty of cargo space, reliability and safety, without costing a fortune.
The list of the “10 Best SUVs Under $25,000’’ is based on KBB’s Fair Purchase Price as of February 2016.
Jack Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for KBB.com, said consumers are experiencing “a love affair’’ with small SUVs because they can meet so many consumer demands.
“Balancing an SUV’s elevated driving position, superior cargo versatility and available all-wheel drive with efficiency and affordability of a mainstream sedan, today’s small SUVs offer multifaceted appeal,’’ said Nerad in a statement.
“It’s no wonder that it is one of the fastest-growing segments in the auto industry,’’ he said.
Jeep and Honda were the only brands with more than one vehicle on the list. KBB praised the Jeep Wrangler and Renegade, while Honda’s HR-V and CR-V also impressed critics.
Please note one of the vehicles, the Kia Sorento, has a base MSRP slightly above $25,000. However, KBB’s Fair Purchase Price for the Sorento was between $23,855 to $24,864.
