According to a recent report from Fox 25, the City of Boston issued 1.3 million parking tickets last year, netting over $57 million.

The station also listed five streets in Boston’s Back Bay and Financial District neighborhoods where motorists racked up the most tickets. Charles Street between Boylston and Beacon lead the pack, and all of the top five are in busy shopping areas where on-street parking is limited.

Fox 25 points out the 1.3 million parking tickets is down from the previous year due to the historic snowfall experienced in 2015. Most tickets issued were for unpaid meters, followed by street cleaning and loading zone violations.
