This year Boston.com put Tesla’s range to the test, an unusual car auction happened at Logan Airport, and a local car dealership learned what it’s like to sell a car to a certain New England Patriots player.

4. This Tesla (barely) climbed Mt. Washington. Tesla took Boston.com for a few wild rides this year. We got a chance to put the electric car’s “Insane’’ mode and its self-driving autopilot feature to the test. But the real test was whether Tesla’s had the range to get us up Mt. Washington.

3. People abandon their cars at Logan Airport and now they are up for auction. Massachusetts officials put nearly 100 cars that were abandoned at Logan Airport up for auction in an effort to open up more parking spaces.
