More glitches: RMV finds another way to get worse
Remember when the RMV broke last week?
Everything eventually got sorted out, but the registry wasn’t ready to be out of the spotlight just yet. So it broke again.
“The Registry of Motor Vehicles is currently experiencing intermittent service interruptions in branches and AAA locations offering RMV services,’’ an email from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation said.
“The intermittent service interruptions are creating longer than normal wait times at branches. The RMV strongly encourages customers to visit www.MassRMV.com to conduct their transaction online instead of waiting in line at a branch.’’
Which raises the question of why anyone would choose to physically go to the RMV when he or she could use a website instead.
The DOT is sorry, though, for what it’s worth:
“We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers and we will provide updates as we work to identify the cause of the interruptions and the time expected for full restoration of services.’’
Stay tuned.
