A 2015 Ford Mustang has broken the 200 mile-per-hour mark, a first for the model.

But this was no average Mustang.

A newly released video shows the HPE750 Supercharged Mustang, a version of the 2015 Mustang GT souped up by the tuning house Hennessey Performance Engineering, hitting almost 208 miles per hour during its day at a Texas racetrack on May 27.

Comedian Jay Leno was even on hand to watch the record run and film an epsiode of his CNBC show Jay Leno’s Garage.

Hennessy’s motto is “Making fast cars faster since 1991,’’ and that was certainly the case here. Car and Driver pegs the top speed for the standard 2015 Mustang at 164 miles per hour and says it has 435 horsepower. The HPE750 Supercharged version boasts a whopping 774 horsepower, according to a Hennessey press release.

All that extra power will cost you, of course. The recommended starting price of a standard 2015 Mustang is about $33,000, whereas the HPE750 Supercharged Mustang in the video will run you just under $70,000.
