This weekend, vintage enthusiasts will have a change to view cars and trucks that have gone the way of the dodo. The Larz Anderson Museum, located on 15 Newton Street in Brookline, is hosting Extinct Car Day, a “lawn event’’ inviting owners of now-defunct models to show off their toys.

Between 50 to 100 decommissioned vehicles – including Studebakers, Hudson Hornets, Plymouth Furys, and even Deloreans – have frequented the Extinct Car Day in past years.

The show starts at 10 am on Saturday and runs until 2 pm. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children, seniors, students, and members of the military.
