Mysterious Tesla Tweet Teases New Release
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors, tweeted a mysterious image last night that appears to show an unreleased Tesla model. Musk’s tweet, “About time to unveil the D and something else’’, accompanies the image of a car obscured by a partially raised garage door with a big letter “D’’ plastered on its front.
It’s doubtful the car teased is Tesla’s attempt at a sub $35,000 offering, given a Tesla tweet on July 15 named that the “Model 3.’’ Production of its mid-range option is not slated until 2017.

So, what could it be? My guess is a new attempt at a convertible, probably built on the current Tesla Model S platform. The “something else’’ Musk mentioned in the tweet? Well, your guess is as good as mine.
