Massachusetts Is Either the Safest or the Most Dangerous State for Drivers
Remember when we told you to stop driving entirely because people in this state have no idea what they’re doing behind the wheel of car? Well, nevermind: you can get back behind the wheel because Massachusetts is now the safest place to drive in the entire country!
We know, we know. That sounds crazy because it’s barely been a month since we were one of the worst places to drive. But either we believe every new study that comes out or we decide that no one has a clue what’s going on when it comes to this state, cars, and safety.
Today’s study is from an insurance company called Obrella that based its rankings on the average number of deaths per 100,000 licensed drivers. Massachusetts is the lowest at 7.37, meaning, according to Obrella, that its the safest state for drivers in all the land.
(North Dakota was the ranked the most dangerous, in case you’re wondering.)
Sure, we could nitpick this study by noting that all accidents are unsafe, not just the fatal ones. But why complicate things? If Obrella says you’re “safe’’ until you die, then that’s the way it’s going to be.
At least until a new study comes out saying something else entirely.
