Mazda6 recalled for spider infestations
Mazda has issued a recall on 42,000 of its 2010 to 2012 Mazda6 sedans after reports of spiders living in the cars’ fuel tank.
This is the second time the company has had to recall it’s Mazda6 sedans over concerns that the spiders “may weave a web in the evaporative canister vent line, blocking it,’’ and cause the fuel tank to crack, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recalled vehicles were manufactured from September 14, 2009, through May 2, 2011.
No injuries or fires have been reported because of the issue, the AP reports.
