The Super Bowl is around the corner, and sports fans and experts are buzzing over how the Seattle Seahawks stack up against the Denver Broncos. While the debate rages on over how well Denver and Seattle are matched on the field, a local company has analyzed how the two cities compare on wheels.
Woburn-based car search company iSeeCars.com analyzed 30 million car listings in 50 major cities, including the two Super Bowl rivals. CEO Phong Ly says the company has used that data and come up with a profile of each city in terms of their car patterns.

Denver easily took the prize for patriotism, ranking 22d in terms of having more cars made in the United States compared to Seattle. Of course, we don’t really think that Seattle is any less patriotic just because it ranked at 32.

In the contest of team spirit, it’s probably not surpising that Seattle has more green cars than Denver. Seattle ranked third and Denver ranked fourth in terms of which city has more green cars.
But what is surprising is Seattle also has more orange cars than Denver. Seattle ranked 18th in terms of orange cars compared to Denver’s rank of 37.

Consumers will drive away from car dealerships with more money in their pockets if they are shopping for a car in Denver compared to Seattle. Denver ranked 40th in terms of affordability while Seattle ranked 50th, the worst ranking possible.

Seattle blew past Denver in this category, ranking 31st compared to Denver’s 41st. According to data from iSeeCars, Seattle also has more convertibles. The Seahawks’ hometown came in 30th in terms of convertibles, 10 spots higher than Denver.

Denver took the top spot in this category, and not just compared to Seattle. Denver took the number 1 spot in this field of all 50 major cities on the list, easily leaving Seattle in the dust at spot 28.
