Vehicles at the New York International Auto Show

Now in its 113th year, the New York International Auto Show will bring 1,000 vehicles to the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. The event opens to the public on March 29.

A 2014 SRT Viper Time Attack was shown at a public preview of the New York International Auto Show. Only 33 of this orange car will be produced for 2014.

The 2013 Porsche Boxster has a 2.7-liter boxer engine, six-speed manual transmission, and rear-wheel drive. It gets 33 highway miles per gallon.

The 2014 Volvo V60 wagon made its New York debut at the event. This sportswagon has Pedestrian Detection and City Safety to prevent collisions with people or objects.

The 2014 Honda Odyssey comes equipped with HondaVAC, a handheld vacuum that’s integrated into the cargo area. This minivan gets 22 combined miles per gallon.

Subaru’s first gas-electric hybrid gets somewhat better gas mileage than the conventional Crosstrek and has stop-start technology that shuts down the engine at red lights to save fuel.

Toyota says the new tC’s styling is more aggressive. The old coupe looked sporty but wasn’t viewed as a much of a performance car.

The Rolls Royce Wraith made its debut at the event.

The McLaren 12C Spider as displayed at the event. Mclaren designed this car with technology inherited from its Formula 1 team, including active arodynamics, Brake Steer, and Proactive Chassis Control.

The Lamborghini Spyder Performante has a maximum speed of more than 200 miles per hour. It can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds. Its body is made of carbon fiber.

The Bugatti Veyron has a maximum speed of more than 250 miles per hour. The car takes 2.5 seconds to accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour, and 2.3 seconds to come to a stop from 60 miles per hour.

Walter de Silva, head of group design for Volkswagen AG, addressed the media about the new Volkswagen Golf GTI. The Golf GTI made its New York debut at the event.

The 2014 Buick Regal GS, was displayed at the New York International Auto Show. General Motors Co. will make another attempt to get Buick to appeal to younger buyers with freshened up versions of the Regal midsize sports sedan.

The Jaguar XKR-S GT was unveiled during the first press preview day. This $174,000 coupe will be available this summer. Only 25 XKR-S GTs will be produced for the United States.

Michael Sprague, executive vice president of marketing for Kia, introduced the Forte Koup. The new model features 16-inch alloy wheels and power-folding side mirrors.

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG made its New York debut at the event. This car has 355 horsepower, 18-inch twin five-spoke alloy wheels, and chrome-plated tailpipes. It will be available this fall.

Another New York debut, the Toyota Highlander has more standard equipment, new option packages, and audio systems than previous models. It can also fit up to eight passengers.
