Swedish Car Day coming to Brookline
Swedish Car Day always has been one of the highlights of the Larz Anderson Auto Museum’s lawn season.
The Sunday, Aug. 26, event will be the 13th in the series that’s been sponsored by Ray Ciccolo’s Charles River Saab and Boston Volvo Village. However, it also could be the last one unless a new sponsor is found with Saab ceasing production.
Pierre Belperron, the former long-time service manager at Charles River Saab (23 years) and annual organizer of the event, will be back as the guest speaker/host of the festivities.
While this Renaissance Man certainly is capable of writing a sonnet (and setting it to music), we suspect he’ll be driving or admiring a (Saab) Sonett on this occasion.
The event runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Registration is $20 which includes admission for the driver and a passenger. General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for military, seniors and children from 6-12.
