Massachusetts, which was recently named the best state in the country, does not have a particularly great reputation when it comes to traffic and driving.

NBC Boston recently calculated the Commonwealth’s five intersections with the highest number of car crashes, using 10 years of Department of Transportation data through 2013. Though not the deadliest intersections in Massachusetts, the station identified the intersections with the highest total of accidents, including dings, fender benders, and serious crashes.

The intersection between Columbia Road and the Expressway in Boston takes the top spot, with almost 300 crashes over the period. Other intersections in Burlington, Milton, Boston, and Woburn round out the list:

  1. Columbia Road at the Expressway, Boston
  2. Middlesex Turnpike at Route 128, Burlington
  3. Granite Avenue and the Expressway, Milton
  4. North Washington Street and the Central Artery, Boston
  5. Route 128 and Interstate 93, Woburn
