Each week, Boston.com profiles several cars that consumers can find for below a certain price point in an effort to help you find your dream car faster. The cars listed include new and used models and any financial incentives currently available. Prices posted here are either starting MSRPs for newer vehicles or based on Kelley Blue Book’s Fair Purchase Price for used vehicles.
2016 Acura ILX

2016 Acura ILX.
Starting MSRP: $27,900
Why it’s worth the price: The Acura ILX is a luxury car that without a luxury price tag. It gets a strong fuel economy of 25 mpg city / 26 highway and comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 201 horsepower. It also has comfortable and roomy front seats, Bluetooth, Siri Eyes Free phone integration, a multi-view rearview camera, and plenty of trunk space. Optional features include voice recognition technology and a seven-inch display screen.
The ILX was named a Top Safety Pick+ winner by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Safety features like adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation, and lane keeping assist are available with the AcuraWatch Plus package, which boosts the price to about $29,000.

Why it’s worth the price: When it was new, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class started at $52,650. Today, a used E-Class costs less than half of its original price.
The E-Class is available in a coupe, sedan, a wagon, or a convertible body style and several strong engine choices. Standard features include a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth, and HD Radio.
The E-Class is another Top Safety Pick+ winner with available automatic braking and forward collision warning. It also has driver drowsiness monitoring, a system that gauges the driver’s behavior for signs of exhaustion and encourages a break from driving.

2016 Nissan Murano

Why it’s worth the price: The Murano is a great pick among midsize SUVs. It has an attractive interior with ergonomic seats and a quiet cabin thanks to sound-dampening materials. Standard features include a rearview camera, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, a six-speaker sound system, and an infotainment system with a seven-inch display.
Higher trims include a panoramic moonroof, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert.
The Murano was named a Top Safety Pick+ winner by IIHS, and its front-crash prevention system earned the institute’s highest possible grade.

2016 Chevrolet Camaro

2016 Chevrolet Camaro.
Starting MSRP: $25,700
Why it’s worth the price: The Chevrolet Camaro is one of the most iconic sports cars available today. It was redesigned for 2016 with a new standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 275 horsepower and has an above average fuel economy of 21 mpg city / 30 mpg highway. A more powerful V6 engine that gets 335 horsepower is also available, but it produces a lower fuel economy.
For real power, opt for the Camaro SS, which has a 6.2-liter V8 engine that cranks out 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque.
