‘Would you buy a car with self-driving features?’

I think some aspects of self-driving cars are great, but I don’t think I would want to own one. What do you think?A. There’s almost nothing more I like to do than drive — and, at times, nothing more I hate to do than drive. It recently took me two hours to drive 21 miles, and it would have been great to have the car driving while I did something else. The New England Motor Press Association and MIT did a survey on autonomous vehicles and their overall acceptance by the general public, and the results were interesting. In some cases, 50 percent of the survey’s respondents had no interest in buying an autonomous vehicle, which means that half of the buying public has no interest in buying vehicles that auto manufacturers are spending billions of dollars to produce.John Paul is AAA Northeast’s Car Doctor.
