I have some “car friends.” Anything new for this year?A.Coffee table books are always good gifts, and there are some great ones out there. Marty Schorr’s book Ford Total Performance is a good read and very well illustrated. Also an enjoyable read but with fewer pictures is Joe Cappy and Jason Vines’ The Last American CEO, about the mystery and intrigue of the last days of American Motors. One of my favorites is Tom Cotter’s book Cuba’s Car Culture, also with great photography. For nonreaders, there is the bustedknucklegarage.com, which offers all kinds of eclectic gifts for automotive enthusiasts’ man caves and home bars, from vintage metal signs to barstools and glassware.
