Zipporah Osei is an audience engagement editor for Boston.com, where she leads multiplatform journalism on site, across social media, and via newsletters. She joined Boston.com in 2021 as the site’s first Community writer, where she helped build a dialogue with readers through social media and user-generated storytelling. Zipporah is a graduate of Northeastern University, where she studied journalism. She previously worked as a research reporter at ProPublica. Her writing has also appeared in The Boston Globe, Chronicle of Higher Education, The New York Times Magazine, and Chalkbeat.  When Zipporah isn’t working, you can often find her exploring Boston’s parks and green spaces with a coffee in hand.

Awards

Zipporah was awarded the D.W. Miller Award for Young Journalists for her reporting on the impact of property tax exemptions for Boston’s top colleges. As a member of Boston.com’s Community team, she was awarded two New England Newspaper & Press Association awards for Best Community/Audience Involvement.
