Rosemary Ford grew up in Lawrence and Methuen, Massachusetts. She started out in journalism as an editorial assistant at The Eagle-Tribune. Over the years, she held many positions at the paper, from news and feature writer to feature editor, night news editor and eventually, assistant managing editor. She also served as editor of the Derry News and Windham magazine while working for the Tribune and the North of Boston Media Group.
After leaving the paper, Rosemary began freelancing with the Granite State News Collaborative, New Hampshire PBS and Boston.com. She also works full-time for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Manchester as the Editor of Parable magazine.
Education
Rosemary graduated from Boston College with a degree in CommunicationsÂ
Awards
Won awards for arts writing from the New England Newspaper and Press Association and features writing from Suburban Newspapers of America. Work on “The State We’re In” for the Granite State News Collaborative and NHPBS has been recognized by the New Hampshire Press Association. Writing and editing have been recognized by the Catholic Media Association.
