Beth Treffeisen

Beth Treffeisen is a general assignment reporter for Boston.com, focusing on local news, crime, and business in the New England region. She previously worked at the Cape Cod Times, covering crime, courts, regional business and town government. Beth has written features for The Boston Globe's business and metro sections, Crain's New York Business, Boston Business Journal, USA Today, and Edible Cape Cod. She has also contributed to the New York Times and NBC News.

Beth received her Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Emerson College and her Master of Arts in business journalism from New York University.

Winner of the Claudia Deutsch Scholarship from the New York Financial Writers’ Association in May 2022. Finalist in the New England Better Newspaper Competition Awards, human interest features story April 2021 “Shellfishing gives some young families a reason to stay in Wellfleet,” Cape Cod Times.
